New York, New York — January 18, 2025 — Hof Law, LLC, a purpose-driven law firm dedicated to advocating for civil rights and social justice, wishes to provide an important update regarding the firm's ongoing representation of a client who has brought forward serious allegations of employment discrimination involving the Federal Government and Equifax.

The case involves the appeal of an unemployment insurance claim including hundreds of pages of documents of an evidence file that the many individauls of the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board of Brooklyn, has never before seen, according to people familiar with such matters.

In response to the allegations, the firm took the significant step today of formally notifying the State of New York's Division of Human Rights (DHR) through the filing of a formal complaint with DHR. This notification highlights concerns related to potential violations of federal statutes, specifically,

-- 18 U.S.C. § 241, alleging acts of conspiracy against rights by Equifax and the Federal Government;

and,

-- 42 U.S. Code § 2000e–7, alleging interference with employment rights by the Federal Government and the State of New York's Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board.

Our client is a disabled veteran who feels oppressed given the alleged discriminatory practices tantamount to violations of fundamental civil rights that the firm beleives warrant thorough consideration for investigation and resolution. Hof Law remains committed to pursuing justice for all workers of the nation's most populous city, and of the Empire State, especially those transitioning from the civil servitude, by aiming to ensure that all alleged violations, and abdications of inherently governmental functions to credit bureaus are investigated by jurisdictions in-tune with notions of right and wrong when it comes to civil and human rights.

The firm will continue to provide updates on this case as it progresses and remains dedicated to upholding the principles of compassion, fairness, equality, and accountability.
